Heading North for the Summer

23 May

Hello from the Amsterdam:

As I write this blog, we are sailing towards Vancouver to end our repositioning cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to Alaska.

The last two weeks have placed us in the warm Caribbean, the Panama Canal, and the Pacific Coast of Latin America. Its has been a great voyage. Here are some pictures for you to let you see where we have been.

Microsoft Buys Skype!

It has been announced that Skype has joined the Microsoft family of products. This is exciting news as it will mean even more sharing possibilities for those of you using Windows Live Essentials. Usage of video conferencing has grown over 150% in the last year and is expected to continue to explode over the next decade. Try out the features of Windows Live Messenger today. Its free and allows you to better stay in touch with loved ones’ anywhere.

Hi Brian, In the Digital Workshop, no. We have a few classes that do use an internet connection, but the use of internet is always limited to the specific material that we cover in class. There is a wireless internet connection on board for guests to purchase internet minutes, but this connection is one with a limited amount of bandwidth and Skype is usually blocked because of the amount of bandwidth it requires for use.

    Hope that helps!

Yes, that helps. Thank you. Will you be on-board 22nd-29th? We will.
We are already excited. Our first trip to Alaska!

I do not know if it’s just me or if everybody else encountering issues with your blog.
It looks like some of the text in your posts are running
off the screen. Can someone else please comment and
let me know if this is happening to them too?
This could be a issue with my browser because I’ve had this happen before.
    Appreciate it
